PSM II - Is PSM I a prerequisite?

Good evening.
My question is simple: is PSM I a prerequisite of PSM II?
Because in similar OLD posts of this forum it seems like that.
While in the NEW documentation it looks like it is recommended but not mandatory (https://www.scrum.org/Assessments/Professional-Scrum-Master-Assessments/PSM-II-Assessment)

Thank you for any reply. Can anyone recommend some free examples of questions to prepare the test?
