Dear All,
After 2 attempts , I finally have cleared PSP exam with 90% score . This exam is too tricky and the questions are having multiple options to be selected. This requires extreme understanding of Scrum Guide, Enterprise Guide and Gunther's Scrum Pocket guide.
Apart from that , there are coaching and facilitation questions which is advacnved level.
So if any of you attempting them pls make sure you visit Simon's blog and cover all subject areas without whcih we pay expensive cost.
One question I found too tricky was
Your co Scrum Master Malia is meeting you at the pantry area and her team is having 8 members working . Now management decided to add 3/more team members to it. Malia already advised PO that adding team members will create synch up and collaboration difficult , so she suggested split the team to two teams. However the Management didn't understand.
Now she is asking if she is right and as a Scrum Master what would be the good advise. options for these are too tricky as Scrum Master is expected to coach and advise level is something going like solving the problem.
A) Tell Maria her decision is right and ask her to be persistent and management ll understand realising the value of splitting
B) Go with the 11 team members as such , Then management will realise ....
C) another vague option like Add members let Dev team figure out how to coordinate with each other
I have e chosen ask her to be persistent option..Not sure. This is tricky becoz Scrum Master are expected to coach PO and Organisation but it may go like solving a problem here at the same time , Real coach will let Scrum team fail and adapt fast so they learn.
Option C also seems to be OK becoz self organising teams shud figure out but as per Scrum Guide only 3-9 members can be in a Scrum team.
So whether to see this question from coach perspective or letting the team self organise is a tricky one. I have seen this question from Scrum .Master perspective only.
