When you start with a new team working in Agile(mostly scrum), I would say start doing with simple steps. Meaning, Don't over complex yourself(the team) by trying Storypoint estimation, Velocity, Acceptance Criteria and whatever Jargons you would have heard from other teams.
Start simple and you will come to know what is missing that if added to your way of working will help you to improve.
