Reflecting on exam

I've been thinking about my failed exam and have started studying again for my second attempt.

I'm really struggling with the questions that I couldnt answer and finding the right answers. I still dont feel confident despite having time to reflect and lookup the areas that I failed.

I purchased scrum essentials (which I think is a fairly comprehensive book) - but cant seem to get certainty on the nuisances of scrum that were asked in the assessment.

For example, I remember not knowing the answer to a question:
What artefact provides the development team with high level direction and target for the sprint. I answered the sprint goal which seems to align with what is written in the scrum guide - however, I was also confused because the sprint goal is not a scrum artefact. Although it is an artefact in the general sense.

There are so many of these types of questions where I simply cannot find an answer. If there is another book I can purchase then I would be more than happy to do so - I just dont know how much more money to throw at this.

How do I learn how to study for this assessment - even with the questions (Which I remember many of them because I have a photographic memory) - I still cannot gain the confidence to sit the exam again?

Am I over-analysing this or are these questions designed to not be precise?

Am I doing something wrong ? To put some perspective on this, I have my PMBOK, CBAP certification, ITIL certification, SAP certification as well as computer science degree - so I dont think this is a question of whether I have the intellect to obtain a certification.
