Is it possible to switch from Waterfall to Scrum

I have a team of about 20 people working on a product (an app). Every 1.5-2 months, we release a new version with new features. I think it's possible to treat each version as a small project. In the ideal situation, we create a plan at the beginning of each cycle and put it into the calendar, so each developer can see what to do and when it should be done. Most tasks have dependencies, and most of the tasks should be done by a particular team member or one of the few (because of specialization).
