I am a new Scrum Master in a team, which has been working with (more or less) Scrum for the last two years.
The team's first Scrum master was their superior and the second was not familiar with Scrum but used a few aspects from Scrum, a few aspects from Kanban, a few ... ( you get the idea). They are responsible for the core product of the company (the client side though) which has been first published 25ish years ago and they are the third/ fourth generation working on it. They regularly have problems with old code and not understanding what it does.
