Story Points Calculations

Hi All,

I want to know how should I decide the story points for stories.

Like one of my colleague using this approach is it correct?

4 HOURS -> 1 Story Point

8 HOURS -> 2 Story Point

12 HOURS-> 3 Story Points

and so...on

Is this the right approach if not then let me know how should I assign the story points to a story.

I know we have different way like below but I want to how can I know exactly how much efforts a developer giving on a particular story in Hours point of view.
